My Position on the Second Amendment

An internet troll recently posted that I’m anti-Second Amendment. Nothing could be further from the truth and the troll knows it. This is the troll’s desperate attempt to discredit me and to get his friend Robert Avera elected.

I’m a lifetime member of the NRA, I’ve held a Texas Concealed Carry License/License to Carry for several years, and have been a member of the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) since January 2016.

I made at least two FFL transfers at the troll’s failed business, one of which he personally supervised, so he knows he’s lying about me.

I believe in the Constitution, as written, not as re-interpreted to fit someone’s political agenda.

As a military veteran, I took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. I have never been relieved of that obligation and continue to be aware of it.

My position is simple. As your Justice of the Peace, I promise to uphold and defend both Constitutions, U.S. and Texas, as written, including the 2nd Amendment. I will not interpret the law as is convenient to political aspirations or popular positions at the time. My position has not and will not change in order to improve my chances of being elected.

I hope you will remember the following Take-Aways from this Post:

1) I am and will always be Pro-Constitution as written.
2) I fully support the 2nd Amendment and exercise the rights it affords.
3) Never trust a troll who has been proven to be dishonest.
